Cosmetology Department Program Frequently Asked Questions
Important Note: Due to significant renovations and upgrades planned for Bldg. 20 on the Cocoa Campus, the Cosmetology and Facial programs will not be accepting students for the 2023 Summer and Fall Terms. Information about future dates will be shared here when available.

Question 1: How long is the program?
One year (equivalent to 3 Semesters). Students start with Beginning, then move to Intermediate, then finish with Advanced.
Question 2: Can I attend part-time?
We have only full-time classes available.
Question 3: What are the hours of the program?
There are no evening classes. The day program typically runs from 7:45 AM - 4:15 PM.
Question 4: Is financial aid available?
Yes.
Question 5: Can I transfer hours from another School?
No, we only offer the full 1200 hour program.
Question 6: Is there an entrance exam for this program?
The program manager uses your current TABE score to assist with admission to the program. The TABE test must be passed in order to graduate from the Cosmetology program. View more details about the TABE and how to register.
