Educational Assisting College Credit Certificate Program

The Educational Assisting certificate program helps prepare students for a career in education. The certificate includes the common prerequisite courses often required for transfer into a bachelor's level education program.

The certificate courses listed on the CCC curriculum are also embedded in Eastern Florida State College's Educational Technology Assistant Associate in Science (A.S.) degree, providing a seamless way to move on to the A.S.-level program which prepares graduates to work as classroom teaching assistants.

Certificate program courses are offered year round on campus and online. The open access application process follows EFSC's general admissions steps. High school students also can work with their H.S. guidance counselor to explore enrolling in the Educational Assisting CCC courses through dual enrollment, especially students in the Brevard Public Schools teaching academies at Bayside High School and Space Coast Jr./Sr. High School. High school students who move on to EFSC also can earn college credit for education courses completed through a Brevard County public high school.
