EFSC classes normally held in Building 20 on the Cocoa Campus are canceled tonight because of an A/C issue. This only impacts classes held in this one Cocoa Health Sciences building, home to EFSC's dental programs.

Facial Specialty Program

Important Note: Due to significant renovations and upgrades planned for Bldg. 20 on the Cocoa Campus, the Cosmetology and Facial programs will not be accepting students for the Fall 2023 or Spring and Summer 2024 Terms. Information about future dates will be shared here when available.

The Cosmetology Department offers the Facial Specialty program at the Cocoa Campus, providing an affordable, Brevard County based Esthetician school. Admission requires a special application process. Program graduates receive a Career and Technical Certificate (CTC).

facialThis program is intended to prepare students for employment as Estheticians (facial specialists). They may work in beauty salons, day spas, dermatologist offices, plastic surgeons' offices, and major cosmetic companies, as well as theme parks as make-up specialists. Classroom and clinical instruction prepare the student to function as an esthetician in varied settings and roles. Students have the opportunity to provide services to the public as part of their training at EFSC's Cocoa Campus Salon.

Instruction at EFSC's esthetician program is designed to qualify students for obtaining a registration from the State Board of Cosmetology.

Accepted students will attend a group orientation conducted by the instructor of the program. They will be notified by email to verify the date of the orientation.

It is the applicant's responsibility to ensure his or her application for the facials specialty program is complete.
