Do you want to pursue a career in engineering or technology-driven manufacturing?

EFSC offers the education and training to pursue a variety of engineering and advanced manufacturing career pathways. We've got customized options from an Associate in Arts degree that can prepare you for transfer to a university-level bachelor's engineering program — to a hands-on Engineering Technology Associate in Science degree and certificate programs that prepare you for the workplace. The A.S. and certificate route can help you build a career working with advanced manufacturing, electronics, fiber optics, composite materials, robotics and simulation. Competency in engineering and manufacturing technologies will provide graduates with opportunities in many applied technology jobs such as aeronautics technicians, testing, fabrication, assembly, repair and manufacturing.

Meet Meer Almeer

Engineering Technology Associate Professor

My students in the Composites Fundamentals and the Advanced Composites courses try their hand at composite technology by making their own skateboard decks, clipboards and model foam core B2 bombers. We get our hands and clothes dirty, but it’s a lot of fun. Jobs in this field include Composite Layup Technician, which pays up to $18 an hour.
