Medical Assistant CCC & A.S. Program

A Medical Assistant is a healthcare professional who performs a variety of tasks in physicians' offices, hospitals, clinics, and other health facilities. Medical Assistants take vital signs and medical histories of patients as well as complete administrative and clinical duties. The one-year Medical Assistant Specialist certificate program incorporates specific courses to enable the student to perform equally well in these administrative, clinical and laboratory settings. Upon completion of the program, students will receive a College Credit Certificate. The certificate program also helps prepare the student for the National Certification Examination.

After finishing the College Credit Certificate program, you may continue your studies and pursue the Medical Assistant Advanced A.S. degree. You can complete the A.S. degree at your own pace, while working in the field.

Admission into the Medical Assistant program is done through a custom application process. Students must complete the College Credit Certificate before beginning the Associate in Science degree.
