Melbourne Campus Nursing & Health Sciences Facility

The 60,000-square foot Health Sciences Institute on the Eastern Florida State College Melbourne is a dedicated training facility for nursing and health science professions.

The facility houses classrooms for healthcare programs, including labs for a wide variety of medical and diagnostic specializations. Programs available at  the Melbourne facility include:

  • Nursing/RN A.S. & Transition to RN A.S.

  • Practical Nursing/LPN C.T.C.
  • Radiography A.S.
  • Respiratory Care A.S.
  • Surgical Technology A.S.
  • Vascular Sonography A.T.C.

EFSC Cocoa and Palm Bay campuses also offer a variety of Nursing and Health Sciences programs plus EFSC offers select online programs, including an online RN to Bachelor's of Nursing degree. Students can earn Bachelor Degrees, Associate Degrees and Program Certificates in preparation for careers in the fast-growing healthcare industry.

The Melbourne facility was designed by BRPH, an international architectural and engineering design firm based in Melbourne. The Ajax Building Corporation of Jacksonville was construction manager. The company has built numerous higher education and healthcare facilities throughout Florida and the southeast.
