Explore the Criminal Justice A.S.
The Criminal Justice Technology Associate in Science degree is a 60-credit-hour program designed for students interested in broadening their knowledge of criminal justice and for field professionals seeking incentive benefits, career enhancement or to increase their on-the-job competence.
Many of the credits earned may be transferable to a baccalaureate degree program. Program applicants may also be eligible for articulated credit toward the A.S. degree based on prior experience or training such as a law enforcement or corrections academy certificate and state exam certification. View the A.S. degree curriculum for more details on the program courses and for articulated credit options and requirements. Prospective students who may be eligible for articulated credit should speak with the program advisor as they are applying.
All A.S. degree-seeking students must satisfy entry assessment requirements and complete, with a grade of "S" or better, all required college-preparatory courses in reading, writing and mathematics.
Included in the A.S. degree is the 24-hour College Credit Certificate program called Criminal Justice Technology Specialist designed to prepare students for entry-level employment in the field of criminal justice and expand the skills of those practitioners already working in the field. View the certificate program curriculum.
How to Apply for the A.S. or CCC
Both the A.S. and certificate programs are open admission through the College's standard application process. Be sure to consult with the program advisor to ensure the programs align with your career and higher education goals and also be aware of priority application deadlines.
