Students are not required to attend a commencement ceremony. However, it does provide a formal occasion for students, family and friends to celebrate a significant milestone in their life. The ceremonies are held at the King Center for the Performing Arts at the EFSC Melbourne campus. Tickets are required for guests with the ticketing process explained below. For an overview of what to expect on the day of the Commencement ceremonies, view the Commencement Ceremony Information guide

The College has spring and fall commencement events. Students who graduate in the summer are invited to walk in fall commencement and should RSVP for the fall ceremony when submitting their summer term intent to graduate application. Two ceremonies are held each time, with students choosing their ceremony time and claiming their alloted guest tickets via the King Center's online ticketing system.

NOTE: The commencement ceremony is photographed and filmed for broadcasting on social media, WEFS-TV and College website. By participating in commencement activities, you authorize EFSC to photograph, record and/or broadcast your name, image, voice and/or likeness, and expressly grant EFSC the perpetual right to use your name, image, voice and/or likeness without compensation for any purpose in any medium. If you request that such information be confidential, please contact the Office of the Registrar.

Ticketing Process

• Students who submitted an Intent to Graduate application and indicated “Yes” to attending a commencement ceremony by the published Feb. 24, 2022 deadline date received a student email with details on how to select an available ceremony time, and with the link to claim four (4) guest tickets. This first priority access went through April 28, 2022 using the personal access link in the email they received.

• A second wave of emails went out May 4th to all students who applied to graduate after the February 24th deadline, and to students who qualified to select their time by April 28, but did not. Remaining ceremony seats and the unclaimed (four) guest tickets that accompany each seat have been released to all students who applied to graduate for Spring on a first-come, space-available basis. Graduates should check their Titans student email sent May 4th with the King Center access code. This group of students had until 11:59 PM, Monday, May 9 (or until all remaining 11 AM ceremony spots are taken) to reserve a spot.

• Important Note About Email with Downloadable Tickets Link: Graduates with a ceremony reservation for themselves and for guest tickets will receive an email from the King Center Tuesday, May 10, no later than 2 PM with the link to download their guest tickets. Please check your email settings and ensure that you have listed the following two emails as a safe sender and preferred contact: and

Reminder: All guest tickets are first-come, first-served, until all seats have been reserved.

• Because of limited space at the King Center, tickets are required for each guest, including infants and toddlers, to attend the graduation ceremony and be seated inside the auditorium. To receive guest tickets, each candidate must indicate "Yes" to attending the commencement ceremony in their graduation application by the published deadline each term if he or she plans to attend. The number of tickets is determined based on the number of confirmed candidates who indicated "Yes" to attending the commencement ceremony in their graduation application by the published deadline.

• Ticket distribution is based upon the actual number of candidates participating in the ceremony and the seating capacity of the King Center. All seats are general admission. Tickets are non-replaceable and do not have monetary value. The College does not support or condone the selling of guest tickets. EFSC is not responsible for lost, stolen, destroyed or deleted tickets. Guests will not be allowed in the King Center without a ticket. Each ceremony is also televised live on WEFS-TV and via webcast with a link posted on the website home page the morning of graduation.

Guests who require accessible seating should make their request to the King Center ticket office when they arrive for the event. For more information on accessibility accommodations, contact the King Center Ticket Office at 321-242-2219.
