Graduation Fees & Supplies

Question 1:  Graduation Fee

$20 for each Graduation Application. A separate form must be submitted for each degree and applying online is the fastest and easiest way to apply to graduate.

Question 2:  Late Fee

A $20 late fee is assessed for each application submitted after the published deadline of the term in which you apply to graduate. For graduation deadlines, refer to the graduation homepage or the academic calendar.

Question 3:  Re-Application Fee

Students who do not complete all graduation requirements in the term during which they initially applied must submit a new Graduation Application (which is most easily done online) and pay the $20 processing fee in the term that the requirements are completed. Applications must be submitted by the published deadline date.

Question 4:  Caps, Gowns & Announcements

Graduates are required to wear an Eastern Florida State College blue or green cap & gown, which includes a commemorative blue & green EFSC tassel. EFSC's four campus bookstores are your source to purchase your cap & gown and tassel. Robes are green for graduates receiving a bachelor's degree and blue for all others. You can view the Commencement Ceremony Information PDF for details on preparing for the ceremony and the logistics on graduation day.

To avoid a shipping fee, graduates can purchase caps and gowns in the EFSC Campus Bookstores.

The following items are available for purchase in the Campus stores:

  • Cap, Gown & Tassel Set ($62.50 plus tax)
  • Caps (Mortarboards - $10.50 plus tax)
  • Gowns ($46 plus tax)
  • 2020 Souvenir Tassels ($15 plus tax)
  • Diploma Frame with EFSC Mat (Prices vary)
  • Announcements (Box of 20 for $15 plus tax)

Online ordering for other commencement-related items, such as class rings and personalized announcements, is available during select dates each term, with some items also in stores. View the Herff Jones website.

Please note, the online ordering system includes the requirement to choose the date of your ceremony, with an "order by" date set each term by Herff Jones to ensure time to deliver the items.

Again, caps, gowns, and tassels are generally available in each EFSC Campus Bookstore up until and on the day of the commencement ceremony.

Question 5:  Duplicate/Replacement Diploma

To request a duplicate or replacement diploma, submit a Request for Duplicate or Replacement Diploma form and pay the $20 nonrefundable fee for each duplicate or replacement diploma. See below for details on options for submitting the form. Allow 6 -8 business weeks for delivery upon submission of the form.

To submit a duplicate or replacement diploma form:

DropBox:  Submit the form via the Student Dropbox. All fees will be assessed within 1 to 2 business days and must be paid prior to any documents being processed and/or released.

Fax: Fax the form to 321-433-7172 and then call the Office of the Registrar at 321-433-7284 to be transferred to the Cashier to make payment.

Mail: Send the completed form with payment to:

Office of the Registrar
Bldg. 2-202
Eastern Florida State College
1519 Clearlake Road
Cocoa FL 32922

As of July 1, 2013 all replacement diplomas requested are printed as an Eastern Florida State College diploma. Replacement diplomas for degrees originally conferred before the name change from BCC to EFSC include the statement: “Degree granted by Brevard Community College. This institution officially became Eastern Florida State College on July 1, 2013.”

All duplicate and replacement diplomas will be stamped: “Issued as Duplicate of Original Diploma.”

Question 6:  Diploma Cover

Diploma covers are dispersed during the Commencement ceremony. If you are unable to attend and would like a cover, email to find out how to obtain one.
