To commemorate Black History Month and the 2023 national theme — Black Resistance — we're hosting a variety of events throughout the month of February!
An Essay Writing Contest, open to all currently enrolled EFSC students, began on Janaury 16th.
Essays due: Thursday, February 16th │ 11:59 PM | First Prize: Laptop Computer
Write and submit a 600 to 1,000 word informative essay about a little-known person,

A Taste of Heritage, History and Hope Luncheon

Look for posters around campus highlighting those who have embodied Black Resistance
through the years. To participate in the Scavenger Hunt, download the answer sheet PDF that you can save and fill out on your device and then email to MorelockR@easternflorida.edu or you can print it, fill it out and drop it off at the Student Life Coordinator's
office in the Student Union (Bldg. 16, Room 204). You can also pick up a blank form
there.
